CLV modelled to resemble CLV 45 (wuiske photo)
Currently under construction at the BVT workshop. This wagon will have a lift-off centre roof section, to give somewhere for the guard to sit. It will also contain the battery powered air compressor for the train air brakes, operable either by the guard or by the loco driver using remote control. (DNC system) The ends will be (as best I can) scale with interior and all that iron lace work. That should keep the shop busy!
The K Wagons
Now built are two models of the K class freight wagon - a cattle car. The livestock will be a little bigger and of the two legged kind on our version. These cares represent two different variatons on a standard design. This was common practice in QGR as was found out after researching the diagrams against the sole surviving K class car at Linville. Here's a pic showing a train of K (cattle) wagons. Below that is an H wagon, or gondola if you are a yank! Two of these are also planned. Archive photos from the web
The two stage Compensating Bogie
Designed by Peter Nixon this bogie which has a two stage suspension system so it will ride well both loaded as empty and on rough as well as smooth. This system also has internal axle bearings over which an arch bar frame or solid frame is attached to the outside of the subfame. These particular units are being fitted under the CLV.
New Remote Braking System
The growing collection of parts for the remote controlled air brakes. These brakes are most effective and can be operated from anywhere on the train. they are available through DNC Technologies.
